ॐ नमो भगवते चित्रगुप्‍तदेवाय का आवाहन करते हुये धूप, दिप, चन्‍दन, लाल पुष्‍प से पूजन करें श्रद्धानुसार नैवैद्य, खील, भुने चनें, मिठाई, ऋतुफल का प्रसाद चढायें। एक कलम बिना चिरी लेकर दवात में पवित्र जल छिडकते हुये प्रभु को ध्‍यान करें!

स्‍वास्थिवाचन

ॐ गणना त्‍वां गणपति हवामहे, प्रियाणां त्‍वां प्रियपत हवामहें निधीनां त्‍वां निधिपते हवामहें वसो मम आहमजानि गर्भधामा त्‍वमजासि गर्भधम । 

ॐ गणपत्‍यादि पंचदेवा नवग्रहा:इन्‍द्रादि दिग्‍पाला: दुर्गादि महादेव्‍य:  इहागच्‍छत स्‍वकीयां पूजां ग्रहीत भगवत: चित्रगुप्‍त देवस्‍य पूजमं विध्‍नरहितं कुरूत।

लेखनी खड्गहस्‍ते च- मसि भाजन पुस्‍तक:। कायस्‍थ कुल उत्‍पन्‍न चित्रगुप्‍त नमो नम:।।
मसी भाजन संयुक्‍तश्‍चरोसि त्‍वं महीतले । लेखनी कठिन हस्‍ते चित्रगुप्‍त नमोस्‍तुते।।
चित्रगुप्‍त नमस्‍तुभ्‍यं लेखकाक्षर दायक । कायस्‍थ जाति मासाद्य चित्रगुप्‍त मनोस्‍तुते।।
योषात्‍वया लेखनस्‍य जीविकायेन निर्मिता । तेषा च पालको यस्‍भात्रत: शान्ति प्रयच्‍छ मे।।
आवाहन
दोनो हाथ जोडकर प्रभु चित्रगुप्‍त जी से प्रार्थना कीजिये के हे प्रभु जब तक मैं आपकी पूजा करूं तब तक प्रभु आप यहां विराजमान रहिये।

ॐ आगच्‍छ भगवन्‍देव स्‍थाने चात्र स्थिरौ भव ।

यावत्‍पूजं करिष्‍यामि तावत्‍वं सन्निधौ भव ।  ॐ भगवन्‍तं श्री चित्रगुप्‍त आवाहयामि स्‍थापयामि ।।

आसन

हे परम उत्‍तम दिव्‍य महापुरूष प्रभु चित्रगुप्‍त भगवान आपके श्री चरणों में यह सेवक सुगन्धित पुष्‍प अर्पित करता है इन्‍हे स्‍वीकार कीजियें :-
ॐ पुष्‍पमालां च समर्पयामि । भगवते श्री चित्रगुप्‍तदेवाय नम: ।।
धूप
हे अर्न्‍तयामी देव आपके श्री चरणों में यह सेवक सुगन्धित धूप प्रस्‍तुत करता है, इसे स्‍वीकार कीजियें :-

श्री चित्रगुप्‍त जी ग़हस्‍त धर्म त्‍याग कर परमेश्‍वर की आज्ञा पाकर धर्मराज की सेवा में यमपुरी पहुंचें जहां धर्मराज ने सिहांसन से उठाकर प्रेम से चित्रगुप्‍त जी को हदय से लगा लिया तथा रन्‍नजडित मुकुट पहनाकर सिंहासन पर बैठाया। तदोपरान्‍त श्री चित्रगुप्‍त जी अपने कार्य में तल्‍लीन हो गयें।

#येनेदम स्वैच्छया, सर्वम, माययाम्मोहितम जगत।

वृकोदराय, चित्रायत्र चित्रगुप्ताय त नम:।।
एकैकस्य-त्रीसित्रजन दधज्जला´जलीन।
यावज्जन्मकृतम पापम, तत्क्षणा देव नश्यति।।

यम, धर्मराज, मृत्यु, अन्तक, वैवस्वत, काल, सर्वभूतों का क्षय करने वाले, औदुम्बर, चित्र, चित्रगुप्त, एकमेव, आजन्म
किये पापों को तत्क्षण नष्ट कर सकने में सक्षम, नील वर्ण आदि विशेषण चित्रगुप्त के परमप्रतापी स्वरूप का बखान करते
हैं। पुणयात्मों के लिए वे कल्याणकारी और पापियों के लिए कालस्वरूप है।

#कमलाकरभट्ट क्रित वृहत्ब्रहम्खण्ड् में लिखा है-

भवान क्षत्रिय वर्णश्च समस्थान समुद्भवात्। कायस्थ्: क्षत्रिय: ख्यातो भवान भुवि विराजते॥

#विद्या वाश्च्य शुचि; धीरो , दाता परोप्कराकः ! राज्य सेवी , क्षमाशील; कायस्थ सप्त लक्षणा ; !!
